The School Board considers the following factors to be reasonable excuses for time missed at school:
A. Personal illness of the student (medical evidence required for absences exceeding five (5) days).
B. Court appearance of the student.
C. Medical appointment of the student (Doctor note required).
D. Approved school activity.
E. Death in the immediate family.
F. Other absences with prior approval of the principal or designee.
Absences not included in excused absences listed above shall be unexcused.
Make-Up Work for Absences
Excused Absences: Make-up work for credit and grade is allowed for all excused absences. Immediately upon return to school, the student will be given the number of days absent plus one additional day to make up all work missed. Unexcused Absences: Students will not be eligible to make-up work for an unexcused absence.
