Gateway High School is proud to offer six high-demand Career Academies focused on introducing students to industry-specific skills while working to earn the credentials necessary to launch a career in these four growing career fields. Theses academies will prepare students for high-wage, professions in Advanced Manufacturing, Carpentry, Engineering, Marketing Sales & Service, Medical and Veterinary/Agriculture.

CARPENTRY ACADEMY

Carpenters play a crucial role in every step of construction and are in demand in Southwest Florida and across the country.
In our Carpentry Academy you will receive hands-on experience in rough and finished carpentry. Through the partnerships we are building with the Lee Building Industry Association and other community organizations, you’ll apply your skills while helping the community and taking steps toward to your future career.

Indulge your passion for helping others and learn the skills necessary to prepare you for some of the fastest growing careers in the country in the medical, science and health care fields.

VETERINARY/AGRICULTURE ACADEMY

Veterinary Technician is one of the fastest-growing careers in Florida. You’ll learn animal anatomy and physiology, care, behavior and ailments, as well as use the tools and equipment associated with the field to prepare for a career in veterinary science and leave high school as a certified Veterinary Assistant.
