STUDENT SIGN-OUT PROCEDURES
Any student who needs to leave campus before the end of the school day must be signed out through the front office. The adult signing out the student must:
- Present a valid photo ID.
- Be listed as an authorized contact in FOCUS under the student’s emergency contacts.
Exceptions are only allowed if the parent/guardian listed on the emergency card provides a signed note authorizing someone else to pick up the student. Student safety is our top priority.
Students being signed out during whole-school events (assemblies, pep rallies, or other activities) may experience delays of up to 30 minutes, as students may be dispersed across campus. To help ensure a timely sign-out, parents are strongly encouraged to pick up students before these events. Pep Rallies: Student check-out on Pep Rallies days must occur prior to 12:00 PM.
Per School Board Policy 4.16:
No student may be released within the last 30 minutes, or anytime after 1:30 PM, of the school day unless the principal determines it is an emergency.
STUDENT DRIVER SIGN-OUT PROCEDURES
Student drivers may leave campus only with parent/guardian permission, verified by an administrator. Parents must complete the Electronic Sign-Out Form. Please allow 30 minutes for dismissal after submission.
Important Guidelines:
- No electronic sign-out requests after 10:00 AM. No exceptions.
- Telephone or email requests are not accepted.
- This form is only for 11th and 12th grade student drivers, walkers, or bikers.
- Each student must submit a separate form, even if traveling in the same vehicle.
- Absences will be marked unexcused until an appropriate written excuse is submitted to the Attendance Office or through the FOCUS Parent Portal within 3 school days. For example, a doctor’s note must be submitted within 3 days for the absence to be excused.
Important Note:
Student drivers may not submit the form on behalf of their parent/guardian. Any student found doing so will face disciplinary consequences in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
